This article, by N.T. Wright, biblical theologian and Bishop of Durham, speaks to some of the questions I've been asking lately about the role of women in the church, namely the importance and significance Jesus bestowed upon women in his ministry. Okay, so that's only a piece of the entire article, but I appreciated Wright's interpretation of Jewish / early Christian cultures and wanted to share. It's long, but definitely worth the read.
