cell phone calls on a plane?

Apparently it's coming faster than we thought - the airline Emirates is allowing mobile calls at cruising altitudes on its AirBus. Here's the BBC article.

on a "fo real" note, its about time. Mythbusters proved that cell phones cause no interference AGES ago. Come on. get with the times, airlines.

No, I think you're right- allowing cell phone usage on an airplane will only increase the annoyance factor.

But it will also increase the convenience factor. You can't have everything in life...
